This is it is a decent attempt but it is not quite there.
The film is a documentary capturing the final days of Michael Jackson. It comprises of approximately 80 hours of rehearsal and behind-the-scenes footage of the King of Pop as he was preparing for his shows. He was scheduled to perform at 50 shows at the London’s O2 Arena, which were about to commence in July 2009. His premature death completely changed the scenario.

Kenny Ortega could have included some more things about the life of Michael Jackson rather than just showing the rehearsal part. Some interesting tit-bits about the star could have been incorporated, which not many are aware about. The film stars getting repetitive after a while and some portions of the film could have easily been cropped. Having said that, most of the rehearsal videos have been excellently shot.

Since it is a documentary, there is no particular story. It just gives an account of Michael rehearsing his songs. It also has interviews of the cast and crew who were part of the shows. The pace of the film is the same till the very end. A lot more behind-the-stage action could have been incorporated.

Michael Jackson is completely energetic in his rehearsals. He made sure that everything was just perfect and is seen giving his inputs in the music.
If you are a die hard MJ fan, then this film is for you. Otherwise, you can wait for it to come on TV.
