Director's Diary By Vivek Sharma - Part 12

Rishi ji once told me that casting happens through destiny...

One of 80’s biggest hit, Pyar Jhukta Nahin was offered to him and he refused for certain reasons...

That film made Mithun da’s career...

Amit ji told me that Jeetuji (the jumping jack) has the best script sense...

There was a time when producers had made a rule that one star can not do more than 6 films per year. At this time DON was offered to Jeetuji...

He could not do the film and informed Amitji to blindly sign DON...

He did and rest is history…J Amazing… Cinema decides its own destiny...

I had narrated Bhoothnath to Pankaj Kapoorji and finally it was the star of the millennium, Amitabh Bachchan...

who became Bhoothnath...

I as a film maker always consider casting as one of the most important aspect of film making...

Bobby,

We can only be the viewers we cannot be the doers. One can only offer his best but the rest is upto HIM. The difference what all say is that a loss of one is a gain for the other. So at the end of the day a good shot makes a Javed Miandad and a bad ball a Chetan Sharma.
Cherio.
