film ke har part ki apni ek atma hoti hai viz story, screenplay, dialogues,characters,music, lyrics,cinematographyand finally editing.jab har banda inner soul se apne kaam ko pura karta hai to success milti haikoi film sirf acting ko lekar succesfull ho aisa maine nahi dekha .Let us remember few more good movies Anand,Milli,Gumnam,Waqt,Ardh Satya,Baazar,Saath Saath ,Golmal (amolpalekar) Tarana,Mother India,Do Aankhe Barah Haath,Pyasa.Even i found good Directors also accepting proposals which has a weak story line may be to maintain themselves in Industry they do so.

well said where cinema is cinema nothing else it is not big or small it depends on what it has the ingredients.
for example salt is for taste if you put more the food will spoil if you put less then also food spoils
like that stars also they are like salt we should maintain correctly not less or more.

you are right Sarvnik...right blend is the key word...pata nahi kyon we miss out on basic element and make regular films...

yes Sarvnik..right blend is the key word... eforts we don't put in..we don't think...we just fear... of failure..so we never try to break norms

you are very right Anant...thats the reason makers are more keen on hit film rather than good and hit film

film makers seem to have become a little lazy. looks like they are taking a shortcut.

Making a film is like looking for a suitable boy in the arranged marriage market. The stakes are high and so benchmarks are set. The boy should be well educated, should earn well, should have a house of his own, amiable personality etc as every one is trying to hedge risks by conforming to and ticking against the pre-requisites, yet arranged marriages fail sometimes.

If I disagree I can run away and not confirm to any of the norms, yet there is no guarantee that my love marriage will be a success.

What we're trying to fight against is set formulae yet we duplicate the age old recipes passed down frm generation to generation....But, a good cook will add a pinch of this and that to add his signature.....

I think the reason could be films being made or scripts being written for target audience.
Also the point of view and the motive behind making a film decides how the film or the story is going to be which has changed miserably
Why don’t we make films which has universal appeal, whether its comedy, action, drama, romance.
Why don’t we make good films rather than making hit films.

I couldn't agree with you more .. Film making has become a joke..
A good film will always find its audience..Its always a good film ,a good story that gives birth to a star and never vice versa..
