Nakul - Sunaina starrer 'Masilamani' is directed by RNR Manohar and the music is scored by D. Imman. It is produced by AGS Entertainment. In a nutshell the movie is a bouquet of multiple themes and has traces of all past masala movies.
It starts off with Masi (Nakul) playing a college student who shows a lot of interest in social activities. He is a saviour who becomes a muscleman flexing his heroic muscles wherever and whenever needed. In this trend he finds his ladylove Sunaina who mistakes him as being a ruffian. Masi, impressed by her charm gets hooked and to impress her he attempts to enter her family, but under the guise of Mani. Mani (Nakul) is an impressive gentleman but she soon finds out that Masi and Mani are the same person. What happens next becomes predictable till the end.
The movie has woven a lot of comedy scenes with Bhaskar in the lead supported by Karunas but displays a very weak effort by the director. Also, the comedy track has no connection to the story and becomes tiring.
Nakul - Sunaina have given a blockbuster hit Kadalein Vizudhen, and even with this one, the two have definitely improved their acting skills but wasted themselves on a very weak subject. We wish that the director had a better theme to offer the audience with the same pair.
The music is also a big letdown except for the song Dora Dora. The song Kavidai Gundar in the movie is unsuccessful in creating magic.
Verdict: An average film with a lot of fillers.
